Why go where there is nothing?

This is the question I ask myself when I discover a big city today. I see more and more the same brands, people who want to eat and drink the same thing, lifestyles in which I do not find myself. And the more people there are, the more they seem to avoid each other. Conversely, the further I move from big cities, the more I meet people who have a story to tell, to share. In 2018, I moved away a lot. I found myself 1200 kms from the North Pole, in the Svalbard archipelago. Far from any connected object (what for?), I felt like I was in a Sarah Marquis or Jon Krakauer novel.
